Sandy Overcash
Director

Sandy Overcash holds a BS degree in Dance Education from UNC-Greensboro as well as an education degree for grades K-6.  She has directed the studio since its beginning.   In addition to the activities at Center Stage, Sandy enjoys traveling throughout the country judging regional and national dance competitions.  Sandy is also actively involved in production of costumes for Center Stage dancers.

Sydney Overcash
Artistic Director

 Sydney Overcash is a graduate of the Center Stage program.  Sydney has traveled and performed in numerous venues nationally and internationally since high school.  Sydney has worked in theme parks at Santa's Village in New Hampshire and Busch Gardens in Virginia.  Sydney danced in a Las Vegas style dinner show in Guam at the SandCastle.  She has traveled on tour performing at Madison Square Garden in New York, Canada, Europe, and Australia,  She has danced in a local area commercial for the South Carolina lottery.  Sydney's numbers are consistently in the top five at regional and national competition.  Her numbers for consistently rank first overall at regional competition.  Sydney has won a number of outstanding choreography awards and most entertaining number awards at regional and national competitions, as well as having numerous numbers nominated for the Industry Dance Awards in 2016, 2017, and 2018.

Jonathan Matthews
​Instructor

Jonathan Matthews has been with the Center Stage Staff for many years now.  Jonathan brings his talents and expertise in the areas of hip hop, lyrical, jazz and gymnastics.  Jonathan has won more than one hundred trophies competing regionally and nationally.  He was awarded the title of Mr. Starpower as a solo performer.  Jonathan has been a feature performer as a dancer at Hershey Park in Hershey, Pennsylvania sharing his performing talents with the country.  Jonathan enjoys working with students in dance of all ages.  Jonathan was featured as a dancer on a commercial for the South Carolina Lottery.  Jonathan has traveled with dance competitions working as a backstage coordinator and on occassion a dance panel judge.  Most recently Jonathan received a nomination for an Industry Dance Award in 2017 and 2018.

Ashlyn Keller Silver
​Instructor

Ashlyn Keller Sumner received a BFA in Dance from UNC-Greensboro.  Ashlyn has performed with the North Carolina Dance Theatre currently known as the Charlotte Ballet.  Ashlyn has also performed with the Louisville Ballet and NC Savoyard Opera Company.  Ashlyn also trained at the National Institute of Dance in New York.  Ashlyn has been a teaching artist with NC Arts In Action in Chapel Hill, an affliliate of NDI.  She has been on the faculty of School of NC Dance Theatre, Duke University Summer Programs, Triangle Youth Ballet and has choreographed over thirty musicals.  Ashlyn was previously on faculty at A.L. Brown High School teaching dance starting their dance program in 2012.  Ashlyn is now on staff at Jesse Carson High School instructing dance.  Ashlyn was a principal character in the role of Velma in "Chicago" with Piedmont Players in Salisbury.

Kristi Miller
​Instructor

Kristi Goodale Miller is a graduate of the Center Stage program. Kristi participated as a competition dancer at Center Stage and graduated in our fabulous fifteen, studying from age three through senior high with us. Kristi served as a dance assistant for 8 years while dancing at Center Stage. Kristi was a member of the dance team at Appalachian State University. Kristi has a BS from ASU and currently teaches at West Rowan High School. At West, Kristi has worked with the dance team and cheer squads.  Miss Kristi works with the youngest dancers at Center Stage ensuring they are off to great beginnings in their dance experiences.

Logan Ritchie
Instructor

Center Stage is happy to welcome home Logan Ritchie to the staff.  Logan is a graduate from the Center Stage program where she participated in many competition numbers. Logan recently graduated from North Carolina State University with a BS in Nutrition Science. While at NC State, Logan was a member of the NC State dance team. She was captain her senior year and helped lead her team to a 2nd place national ranking. Over the past few years, Logan has traveled the east coast to various colleges, high schools and studios to choreograph routines. Logan is so excited to be a part of the CSDC staff and cannot wait to share her passion with all of the dancers.

Greyson Davis
Instructor

Center Stage is happy to have alumni Greyson Davis returning home!  Greyson began his dance training at the age of two at Center Stage. During that time, he received training in all forms of dance from his mother, Scottie Davis, and teachers, Sandy and Sydney Overcash. At the age of 14, he began his focus on tap.  After attending college at NC State, he began developing his own artistic direction, focusing on the rhythmic side of tap. Greyson uses a variety of music styles to accompany his understated and smooth style. He now works for Applause Talent, is a contributor to #bringtaptothepeople tap tutorials, and also teaches for three dance studios through North Carolina and travels the southeastern part of the country teaching and choreographing.  He has received numerous awards from the top competitions in the country including choreography, direction, and technique awards.

Liza Eller
Guest Instructor

Liza is a graduate from the Center Stage program, where she competed for twelve years. Liza is currently attending East Carolina University to pursue a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography, along with a double major in Communications (Media Studies). Liza loves to be able to create art and share her passion with all of the Center Stage dancers. She has now choreographed numerous solos and co-choreographed many group numbers at Center Stage. Liza is so excited to be able to come back and work with all the dancers, so she can share all of the knowledge she is learning as a dance major, while  continuing to cheer on her lifelong team, CSDC IN THE HOUSE!

Christopher Robbins
Guest ​Instructor

Center Stage is happy to welcome South Carolinian Christopher Robbins.  Chris has performed for television and stage shows since he was 5 years old. Chris has worked with artists/choreographers such as Donny and Jimmy Osmond, Darius Rucker, Justin Timberlake, Kelly Rowland, Jennifer Holiday, Kristine W, The Pointer Sisters, Lee Greenwood, Caroline Lewis Jones, Gil Stroming, Adrienne Canterna, Jean Whitaker, Joe Lanteri, Pamela Bolling, Pam Chancey, Kim Wolfe, and Jaime King.  Chris was in The Walt Disney Productions of “Beauty and the Beast” and “Tarzan Rocks.”  Presently, Chris judges for Starpower, Inspire, Imagine, and Revolution Talent competitions. He teaches all over the country doing his specialized form of teaching that no others do, working on body alignment, conditioning, strength, stretch, across the floor, and combo. Chris is currently on the SC Board of Dance Association and Artists in Residence.  Chris is now the residing Artistic Director of his professional company E'clatez Production Company.
